9/11 and never forgetting

Tonight is a somber night for me OT.
I joined the military after 9/11 before OIF began.
Now, on the 14th anniversary of 9/11, after the two wars I've been deployed to are now over, I sit with my family and look at my two year old and hope her generation will not know the struggles we've seen over these years.
I have been extremely fortunate to not lose anyone close to me over these conflicts but my closest friends suffer from PTSD and broken bodies that they willing sacrificed.
Our teens and twenties knew only war. I would do it again for my country as would they.
It's surreal to know that while I still have friends in Afghanistan and Iraq the wars we fought in response to 9/11 are over and we are moving on.
I hope we never forget that day and the years of conflict that followed.
Eta:
To the OT vets out there thanks for serving as well.

Have we forgotten Pearl Harbor yet?
We won't forget.
We won't forget.

I am tired of people telling me to never forget 9/11 - It was 14 fricking years ago. Since this stupid fricking government experiment, this country has gone to shite. It takes me over an hour to get through TSA BS at airports. Before 9/11, it took me 10

Would you rather an hour of BS or flying 500mph into a building?

whatever. All I am saying is that I am tired of people and media telling me to never forget when I don't need people telling me to not forget that day. I don't need a fricking reminder.
The shows that they play on FOX, CNN, MSNBC are all old shows with Copyrights of 2007, 2010 and 2011. These media outlets that play the same exact fricking show every 9/11 seem to have forgotten about it because they keep playing the same old shows every 9/11 - and they promote it all week leading up to 9/11 like it is some new 9/11 show
It's pathetic.

I find it odd that you are saying never forget 9/11 but the majority of your post was a practice in self-fellatio.

Unfortunately, I am too modern to know what the frick this means. Nice try tiny man "Stout"

Dude chill the frick out
It's not a literal reminder for people to remember 9/11 like they're saying don't forget the milk and bread at the grocery store. Just a phrase man, chill out.

Not dignifying that with an answer to your question.
