...for just the month of July. That's just pathetic.

Please stop trying to draw attention away from the real issues and problems of systemic racism. Black-on-black crime doesn't exist, btw.

I'd bet maybe one of those involved a white person. MAYBE.

Damn, that number is hardly believable.

Fwiw, although Chicago's gun violence is a serious problem, it actually has a lower crime index rating than Houston, according to city-data.com

Also, as of 2014, New Orleans had a roughly 80% higher murder rate and a higher crime index than Chicago. Baton Rouge also had a higher murder rate and crime index score.

You'll catch some flak, but even with 137 murders in the last two months in Chicago, it is on pace for 24 murders per 100k residents in 2016. New Orleans is on pace for 40 murders per 100k.

Chicago is one of the nicest places I've visited. Didn't get the feeling of getting killed, robbed or anything that I do when I'm in New Orleans.

By my own estimation, New Orleans is 10x more dangerous than Chicago

23 murdered in New Orleans in July.
378,000 people.

Vs

65 murdered in a city with 2.71 million.

Chicago has 3 times the murders but 7 times the population.
