Had a friend that he and his wife would put their loose quarters in one. When it filled up they cashed in and had enough to take a trip to Hawaii.
So they had just enough for 1 way airfare?

No way... It would be penny-heavy with mixed change. Maybe $1200-$1300.
Conversion rate based on How Much a Cuervo 1800 bottle holds for Quarters and how much a Chambord bottle holds for dimes.

I flew round trip in 2011 for $765, so I'd say it was possible if your just considering airfare.

growing up my father had a huge (empty) bottle of jack daniels that we'd always fill up-- when it would be full, my brother and i got to split it.
the good ole days.

At the end of each day I dump all my loose change into an empty Liquid Tide jug (100 oz.). It starts to get pretty heavy when about 3/4 full. I take it to the bank's coin counting machine along about that mark and it averages $350 - $400.
No one in the bank has ever said anything but I bet they have to wonder why this guy is coming into the bank with a jug of laundry detergent.

One night after drinking all our money away in the french quarter a buddy of mine offered to pay for the cab ride home with money he had at the house. When we got there, cabbie le him out and made me stay in.
When he came back out the house he was carrying one of those jugs about 1/3 full. he opened the passenger door, buckled it in the seatbelt, gave a thumbs up to the driver, looked at me and said c'mon. Cabbie looked at me and nodded and we were all good.
The next day we pondered over ice cream & pancakes that he spent about $250 for a cab ride from Gold Mine to Lakeview.

Just dumping everyday change, had one last year about 10% full of quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies and it was $242.

Does it, he says he can get 350.00-400.00 bucks for 75 ounces of change, there is 7 times that in a 5 gallon jug...so that would be around 2450-2800 dollars.
