"On Sun., Oct. 30, 858 of an estimated 6,000 members in Mandeville voted on disaffiliation. Of those who turned out, 92% voted in favor of separating from the United Methodist Church."

Of the large Protestant sects, Southern Baptists are the only ones left resisting this.

This would be the same as saying you're a Christian yet worshiping the devil.

so the UMC gets to keep the church property? That's what often happens when Christians leave the corrupted woke organization

Why do churches feel the need to change biblical principles to make people feel better?

Sort a poor troll job. It’s that you, Brady?

St Timothy will pay the UMC thirty pieces of silver and retain its property. UMC will purchase rainbows, unicorns, and double headed dildos.

So only 14% of the congregation voted, and 92% of those voted to leave?

It's part of the progressive pattern of building nothing but destroying what others have built - esp institutions like schools and churches, but can be applied to businesses, towns, governments...

Meh, the music minister at my parents church is so gay he might as well show up on Sunday morning in a feather boa singing show tunes.

My grandmother’s church is one of them. They voted a couple of months ago. It’s a small church, but 100% of the members voted to leave.

Gay marriage is one thing, I supported it then and continue to support it now. However, gay marriage is looking like it was definitely a slippery slope because the craziness has only gotten worse.

I recall the f@g who was connected w/some group (PTL? I think his name was Roger White) while in the closet. After coming out he said about churches, "You will accept us, or we will destroy you."

Catholics have homosexual pedophile priests.
All churches on Sunday are full of sinners(drunks, gamblers, adulterers, gluttons)…as Christ intended.
Why does the “sin” of homosexuality get so much more publicity and rancor?
If churches weren’t led by sinners, we’d have no churches.

Because they don’t preach the Bible. Plain and simple.
