Of course, I'm a little extreme and think all new cars should be required to have breathalyzer starters installed to curb drinking and driving.
All cars should have a knife attached to the steering wheel that is aimed right at the drivers heart. Crashes would pretty much stop happening if we did that since everyone would always be super safe and cautious!

Just a heads up, if you change your address they charge you somewhere around $14 now. Started this year. Used to be free just didn't change expiration date.

I can't believe that people like you exist
People that don't drink and drive, or people that like legislating other people's choices?

Don't know why you are getting so much hate.
My only concern about this would be how long they are reliable for. If it's something that is going to break every couple of years, that would be a pain.
Of course, if someone is drunk and wants to drive bad enough, they can just have a sober person start the car up.
If you don't wear your seat belt, if a motorcyclist doesn't wear a helmet, they put themselves at risk. If they drink and drive, they put other people at risk. This has nothing to do with restricting personal freedoms. This has to do with protecting innocent people from those "freedom-lovers" dumb decisions.

Georgia is 20 for 5 years or 35 for 10.

no more a pain than your yearly car inspection.

Hopefully a sober person would refuse to do that.

we've got to get these old arse terrible drivers off the roads

if I cause an accident and the driver I hit gets injured because he wasnt wearing a seatbelt, should I be paying for his medical bills? or if he dies am I going to be charged with vehicular homicide?

the new License will be $42
Same amount per year as it has been for years. Will now be for 6 years rather than 4 years
I renewed two weeks ago and paid $36.00 for four years ......
they weren't doing the 6 year yet ....

When does this start? Just got my new $42 license today and it expires 4 years from now (2018).

It lasts for 6 years instead of 4.
Does it cost more to issue a license that lasts 6 years vs. 4 years?

I'm driving right now from Shreveport so I can't really research, but I just heard on the radio that the new License will be $42
Does this seem excessive? What are other states charging?
Same amount per year for the driver, but you renew less often. The state saves money on needing fewer worthless slugs down at the DMV for processing.

I see you ascribe to a similar plan to the TigerstuckinMS "replace 10% of all airbags with giant explosive driven spikes" program.

Oregon charges $65. Then again...we have better roads.
