Meh.. Numbers sucked.

Two weeks out of the gym due to being in Houston working 12s.

Did it yesterday and scored worse but sped up slightly on TTBs today and nearly got thru 4 rounds.

15.1 117
15.1a 195#

Redid it at 5:00pm. Much better numbers!!!
15.1- 112 reps. Up 8 from Friday.
15.1a. 235#, instead of 205 and much closer to my last 1RM.

I got 130 reps and 275. Should have gotten higher on the "C&J" but I basically push press. I don't have good jerk form and push press ain't easy when that tired

The fiance got ~175 reps and 175. She is too 150 right. She killed it

Those are some good numbers.

One of the girls in our gym did 210/168.

As she gets stronger, she will be up competing with the elites.

I moved up rapidly (like 8 weeks, no lie) using MaxOT principles, but slammed into a wall a while back with a 285-290 max.

I'm going to try a Shieko 7 week routine soon.

Honestly the fiance is a baby and could be in the "elite" caliber if she put in minimal effort. She puts in zero effort and ends up top 150

I am strong as an ox but hate metcons. I don't like feeling tired

Yeah, our top female at the gym just turned 21. If this was the only strength WOD (15.1a) she will do well.

She was 13th in the South Central region in 15.1 but overall strength is holding her back. She has made some nice strides over the last year bringing it up, though.

Fiance is 22 and finishes top 200 every year despite not being able to run a full mile nor having good Olympic lifting form.

She drives people at the gym nuts. She is super skinny not really muscular nd doesn't put in extra time. Despite this she lifts the most and does the best despite taking "breathers" all the time

Drives me nuts

As far as workout routines go, P90x causes more issues than Crossfit because one is supervised while the other isn't.

..and sports in general: football, baseball, basketball, soccer, etc. keep their pockets full. Crossfit might be pocket change, at best.

In my 3 years doing crossfit, I have known more people who get injured doing Tough Mudders, playing pick up games and slipping on ice than people who do crossfit.

99% of people who show up to crossfit are trying to do a workout not push themselves to the brink. Most are like me and just quit once you feel even close to injuring yourself

All of my injuries, ACL tear, broken R ankle and torn ligaments in L ankle, have been from playing on football on muddy fields.

Looking forward to 15.1/1a, I'm expecting that everything going forward will be much tougher than it.

Yep! I had about a minute+ to go up in weight on 15.1a, but my left quad felt like every fiber was tearing. I had the time to try another rep, but why risk it?
