Take it for what it's worth but a friend who's a law enforcement officer in south Florida says there are about 2000 dead in the morgue down there. I pray it's not true.

You'd have littered bodies all over the place if that happened and it would be on 24/7 newscycle. Sounds doubtful.

Amazing how few died in St. Maarten/other islands considering their buildings are made out of straw and cardboard.

No way. 1833 was the official death total for Katrina. I'd assume if you live in the Keys you'd be intelligent enough to leave for a Cat 5

Pics or it didn't happen.

More than likely it's just all of Dexter's victims getting washed ashore.

Plus, just think how many people you'd have screaming about unaccounted for relatives if this were true.

So dumb.

with the exception of key largo and key west, are there even 2000 people who live there permanently let alone 2000 that would be dumb enough to stay there.

my family has a house on islamorada. they are headed there now in a flat boat from miami to check it out.

if this is true and the city state governments really care about their community, they wouldnt hide this information. It would blasted everywhere showing hoe important it is to leave your home when there is a hurricane coming up your gut.

Yet somehow Gainesville is able to fill up their stadium watching that crap team run by a shark-fricker.

It's Florida. All metrics for normal tolerances of stupidity and trashiness goes out the window.

Wonder why the police down there couldn't find the bodies on the news yesterday.

They said they found four.
