Once you get last the modesty, you'll probably be ok.

Past. Past it.

I was just trying to answer the man's questions. Course throwing out "intelligence isn't the problem" might not have been the best idea.

Do instrumentation and electrician. You could go back to the O&G industry and not have to worry about heavy lifting.

I&E design if you still want to work in the O&G field. You can make decent pay. I made $96k last year doing this line of work. I have only been in this field for about 6-7 years.

Don't believe the "engineering or bust" idea.

It's all about being very specialized. Walking down the isle for a business degree next 189 other students isn't very specialized. I have about a year left in a very specialized program that I will get a great job with. It's all about setting yourself apart from the regular peasants.

Didn't read all the reocommendations, but I'd encourage you to disregard most health care fields with a 2 year degree unless you are okay with $50-60K or less if you can find a job. Also consider that you will have nearly no opportunities for career advancement with that 2 year degree in healthcare. With some exceptions the BS is becoming the entry level standard across healthcare. Most notably in Nursing and many Allied Health areas as well. For Management/Leadership the BS or MS is becoming the industry standard.

Physical Therapy Assistants do okay but the real money is made by the Therapists who have a Masters or Doctoral level education. Respiratory Therapists are a dime a dozen here in FL but your mileage may vary depending on where you are.

I'd look at the Energy industry or something dealing with logistics/transport/distribution as those industries have shown strong growth over the past few years.

Take out a student loan and get a real 4 year degree.

I bet you spent that much (4 year tuition) on your F-250 King Ranch (or whatever the oil field worker flavor of the week is).
