I wasn't completely overblown by the home dome atmosphere. I understand it wasn't a divisional game or a late night prime time game but the atmosphere was just pretty good, nothing great. Maybe my expectations are just not very reasonable. Not sure.

I think the terrible PA system put everyone in a trance.

No flow or tempo to the game. It happens once or twice every year. Penalties, injuries, 3-and-outs never get let the game go.

I mainly blame the officials and "red hats" on the timing of TV timeouts. Terry McAuley sucks as a game manager.

First play of the game the crowd blew their load.

In general saints fans are spoiled and lazy now. It's sad.

EVERYONE had Halloween parties on Saturday night. We did, and we were hungover as hell. A lot of my friends barely made it.

Couple that with a noon game, versus an AFC team that is traditionally terrible that we have no rivalry with whatsoever, and it was a subdued crowd.

I know it took me awhile to get into it.

Edit: Go to the Dallas game and you will see a very different atmosphere, I'll wager.

I avoid the tiger rant because of people complaining about the fans, gameday experience, etc. and now its on Saints Talk.

GTFO with that nonsense

quit being a vagina. everyone here is admitting what the atmosphere was. I said it was pretty good, just nothing too great. Halloween Saturday probably played a role too. Just the way the game went probably hurt it too w/ missed kicks and shite.

I think it was about what you can expect for an average game these days.......

Now for a Falcons game, Cowboys game or playoofs, it will get loud and crazy.

There was also a TON of Bills fans there. I honestly couldn't believe (billieve?) it. Most opposing fans that I've seen since maybe Pittsburgh. (Although the Eagles had a lot recently).

Ok well it sounds you came to an conclusion. I just don't know why the thread was necessary if you already knew the answer to why the atmosphere was not its usual raucous self

The gleason statue is left of gate C.

the PA system seems to be getting worse every game.

Yeah, I had a few friends that were at the same party that either didn't go, or showed up really late. It was a rough night.
