I remember that stupid arse conversation where ppl where claiming that we didn't need to draft a WR because they aren't important and that we would fix our wr problem in free agency. I really need to dig that thread up and make some ppl eat crow.

Well there were different expectations
We thought we'd have a good oline and would be able to run the ball.

It's hard to use playaction when you can't block and can't protect

We def should have drafted at least 1 receiver after the stills trade

Never run the football except on second down after an incompletion without a full back or ever twice in a row.

Brady has Gronk, Edelman, LaFell, Dobson, and Amendola. Plus a superior o line. I'd say he's much better off than Bress as far as weapons at his disposal.

I'm pretty sure Tre Jackson and Shaq Mason are starting for New England on interior O Line.

They are both rookies.

Cam Newtons receivers are awful.
I mean really really bad. They're 2-0.

Rodgers is throwing 4 tds in 2 weeks to James Jones who was cut by the Raiders and Giants this year.

Look at the garbage WRs in St. Louis. Check out Seattle. Not like they have a game breaking WR.

Our wideouts arent all world by any means, but our problem has been play calling and QB play.

His time til throw is under 2s right now which is just absurd.

I wish nola would try more of the no huddle quick pass system. Brees would excel in it

Brady has had a pretty drastic decline in arm strength, but they've adjusted the offense to fit his needs after a rocky start last year

Totally agree.

Watch New England run the hurry up. I've seen them run no huddle when they run Blount between the tackles 6 times in a row. D Line can't handle it.

They also run a ton of drag routes, slants, etc that we don't do. Their offense is based on YAC. You'd think with Cooks we'd be able to do something similar.

Their coach knows what he's doing.

My biggest wtf as well.

We need a physical one with great speed.

Colston is servicable two at this point. He can still cause mismatches, especially if the primary is going to pull safeties from the seams.

Cooks is a Sproles. Good for certain types of touches, but not 100 catch seasons.

An athletic TE, such as Jordan Cameron, would be ideal too.

Coleman and Snead are a waste.

I liked your post, except for this. Snead isn't bad for a #4 WR. He and Coleman are still developing as well.

Like you said, we need a legit #1 WR that can do it all. If Brees had better protection & we had a legit #1, then we wouldn't be 0-2.

#1 WR
Cooks - I think he's a good #2 guy right now, but should only get better
Colston
Snead
Coleman

That would be a legit WR Corp. I still can't believe we didn't take a WR with one of our 5 picks in the top 3 rounds.

Coleman just seems to be missing the "it" factor to me.

He plays small for 6'6". Hopefully he proves me completely wrong, because he would be a nightmare match up in the red zone (especially with an athletic TE).

Snead is a work in progress at the most right now. He is a practice squad player imo.

Personally, I like Snead more than Coleman at this point. That may change in a year or 2 though. Snead seems like a more polished WR.
