I haven't looked at contracts, but i think we are tied into JJ and Foster a few years.

If we can get out of it, and he's there, you grab him. He is a top 7 talent in this draft.

OT is deep, we could find a way to trade up in the 2nd to get one.

I dont think he gets past the chargers.

We're not tied to either one significantly but I don't think that would have to get rid of either to get Bowers.

Graham is gone and Taysom will continue to be Taysom presumably in the new system Though I could see Bowers chewing into Foster's time on field. Not sure that's a bad thing if Bowers is all he's advertised to be.

As far as Bowers; yes, he’s a take unless Joe Alt, Olumuyiwa Fashanu, or one of the top QBs falls to you. Bowers is better value than Verse, but we need a pass rush so badly that that one is kind of a toss up.

We shoujd not be drafting a de in the first few rounds. The front office burned a total of three first round picks and a high second round pick in Davenport, Turner and Fosky. Time to put up or shut up. They passed on plenty of better talents to draft for need in these drafts. Front office should be held accountable now.

Bowers woukd likely be the best talent by far on the board so they should take him.

I think we really need another developmental edge project from a small school...

If you look at the teams that make deep playoff runs recently they usually have an all-world TE on the roster. I’m all for taking Bowers if he’s there

Absolutely. He’s the most dominant TE I’ve seen in years.

The fact Kubiak could use Bowers as a hybrid TE/FB role (same as Kittle and Juszczyk) has to be enticing if he falls to 14. He’s a consensus top 5 player.

If Bowers falls, the Saints should run up to the podium as a great second option to Olave.

TEs like Bowers are a cheat code when it comes to contracts as well. If he’s as productive in the pass game as you think he will be, the big contract for a TE saves you a ton of money vs a WR

For instance, Taysom Hill has a bigger cap hit this year than Travis Kelce

Yes. Excellent blocker and receiver, surprisingly deep route tree. Think about Kittle in SF...I'd imagine Kubiak would integrate him like that.

Having TEs who aren't a tell (Johnson=mostly pass, Moreau=mostly run) would be a huge boon, and thats putting the insane receiving upside aside

He is not an excellent blocker. He is a decent blocker (especially for his size). However, I think he can be a game changer in the passing game.

Bowers is an excellent player and would likely be a great fit for us. However, he looks like a Dallas Clark caliber NFL player to me.

Clark had a couple really good seasons but not 14th overall pick to me.

If they think he can be Kittle or Mark Andrews in the system, pull the trigger. I’m just not 100% bought in.

It wouldn't bother me one bit if our first 4 picks were all oline and dline.

Our best two pass catchers are 6’ 180lbs. I’d kill for a Dallas Clark. Some kind of size has to be added there

Bowers run block grade was 76.5 in 2022 and 62.4 this past season. He’s at least a willing blocker and passable there.

Latest mock draft from CBS Sports has Bowers going #21. I'm starting to be convinced that he'll be available when we pick. My hope is we Chase Young in free agency and draft Bowers in round 1. The offensive line is deep in this draft. We can go that route in round 2.

He is going to be terrific bait for someone to trade up and get. What I hope for anyway.
