like the former player, John Lynch for the 49ers? Some fans would hate it because of the kneeling controversy (I no longer resent him for what he did), but it would be an interesting hire.

Drew Brees is unofficially blacklisted by the NFL. He was chosen as the face of white privilege. The NFL and the Saints made it perfectly clear that Brees was totally unaware of his inherent privilege and prejudice.

It does not matter if he has the skills and abilities to be a good GM. He is forever the face of an unaware QB that Malcolm Jenkins and other teammates humbled and ridiculed for a political agenda.

You might be right, but I thought that he and his wife’s groveling were enough.

We all respect the guy for his contributions to the team, but does he have any known skills pertaining to evaluating and signing talent? Any experience with contracts and salary caps?

Brees lost all credibility when he crawfished, kneeled, and started supporting black rapists

Honestly, I believe Brees could do it, but he isn’t willing to put in those kind of hours. It’s probably like being an NFL quarterback preparation, but without an off season. You are working all the time.

He is a family first person. In the NFL as a GM or coach, you have to put it above anything and everything 24/7.

Maybe, but if you had millions on the line you’d have probably done the same.

GM, I have no idea, but I still say he’d be a better OC than CarMichael!!!

There is absolutely no way for us to know that.

Nope, I don't let money run my life. If I have millions nobody is making me do anything I don't want to do.

Didn’t he get taken for millions in a jewelry scam? Seems like he might not be great with money.

He was a great QB and generous public figure. We all knew pretty early on he didn’t have the “it” factor for broadcasting.
He would make a terrific coach but he doesn’t wanna go back to that busy nonstop life. He’s enjoying life with family and taking care of his businesses and investments.
