He was just joking about misspelling Payton with "Peyton" as in Peyton Manning.

Basically, an unfunny joke.

I'm gonna say it:
Bell > PT

y'all all know I don't know where the PT love fest comes from, but Bell is a real RB, and we didn't have to blame the offensive line blocking when he was in there like we do for PT. That being said, it was the Lions.

Bell puts up good numbers against the LIONS.

Pierre puts up good numbers rushing AND receiving for an entire season basically.

And somehow Bell is a real RB and you don't know where the PT loves fest comes from???

Wow.

When did that happen? At Illinois maybe. PT had one good game early last season. sucked for two games and didn't get to play until Bush got hurt for the last six games last year.

I said that, but go look at who PT played against last year. Kansas City, Detroit, Green Bay, Tampa Bay... Those were real world beaters last year.

Making my point again, I don't see anyone blaming the O Line for Bell like they do for Bush and PT.

Bell was a beast. I love how he was looking to hit people every time he ran the ball. As long as he is this hungry keep giving him the rock.

I guess you missed where Thomas was 8th in the entire NFL despite averaging 10 touches per game.

And somehow you've seen NOTHING for the lovefest.

And also somehow Bell having a good game against Detroit makes him better???

I just dont follow the logic.

One thing Thomas and bell have in commom is they don't stop pumping once they make first contact with the defense (second effort)it would be awesome to put them both out there at least occasionaly, split Bush out in the flat and put the defense on their heels . One thing bush and thomas excel at is in the passing game. At this point I would hate to see bell sitting on the bench and waste his talents.

This is from Jay Glazers mailbag thought it was interesting

"QUESTION — Estevan from Shafter,CA on the Saints: "Will the saints go deep into playoffs?"

jay_glazer: I think the Saints are definitely a tough team. They can be one of the more explosive teams as long as Drew Brees stays healthy.

By the way, great story ... coach Sean Payton has secretly been pumping up third-string RB Mike Bell to me for the last month. But get this, he even convinced his son Connor to draft Bell in his son's fantasy league. Peyton thinks he can be the every-down pounding back they need. So Pops told Connor to take him as a late-round sleeper and promised that he'd be a great pick for him. So Connor responded, "Mike Bell? Who's Mike Bell???" Sean said, "Trust me Connor, I might have some insight into this."

I'd be filing a collusion grievance in that fantasy league.
