Why trade cooks if you don't get a great offer?

Yes, he is being a selfish prick from how things are playing out, but you still have him under his rookie contract for another two years at reasonable cost. If you don't get a very good to great offer, hold onto him. If he chooses to half-arse his play it will only bring his value for a second contract down even more. He hurts more than the Saints, and you show that a player will not dictate things enough to get you unfair value because of their bad attitude.

SP has already said they won't trade Cooks if they don't get a substantial offer

It's time to move him while we can.

Post less... literally every story out of Saints camp is they will not trade him unless it's a great offer, which is pick around 17 or up.

We don't need a great offer to get rid of Cooks. We have guys in this draft who are being targeted. Have a hunch there will be a draft day trade Cooks for the guy we covet on the board. It could be pick 18 or 13, doesn't matter as long as it's the guy CSP is sold on!

I don't mind testing the market this early. He's going to garner 10-12 mil per year and honestly, I just don't think he's worth that to this team with drew still here.. If you can get a mid first rounder for him and hopefully something else too to improve the defense that's kept you from accomplishing anything since 2013, I'll take it.

"Great offer" is subjective.

Minimum I would take is Titans at 18 unless there are multiple picks! Hope Payton stays tough!!
