Couldn’t run off the clock. They had 2 timeouts. SP didn’t like chances of giving TB the ball with over a minute left and only needing FG. That’s pretty easy

because he knew brady was going to throw a pick 6, its right there on his play calling sheet play #7, give the game away by stupid play calling and TB will save you by throwing a pick 6
