Why is it an insult to say Cooks is a TY Hilton/Desean Jackson type player

All bias aside but how in hell is this an isult when those two are exactly what he is right now?

You know it and I do, not one of you homers can sit here and tell me he does anything different than those 2, he is a deep threat and pretty much a lesser TY clone. Ty has consistent years under his belt, Cooks has 1 decent year.

Same player, hate all you want but he is what he is

Ty Hilton

Desean Jackson

Cooks

From his scouting

quote:

Strengths

Light on his feet with terrific balance. Sinks his hips with ease and pops out of breaks to separate. Tracks and adjusts. Quick hands. Good concentration, body control and boundary awareness. Can turn a short throw into a long gain. Shows elusiveness, creativity and vision after the catch. Unafraid to play in the tall trees. Highly productive -- totaled 195 receptions for 2,881 yards (15.4-yard average) and 21 TDs in last two seasons. Confident and competitive. Has been exceptionally durable dating back to high school. Team captain. Will be a 21-year-old rookie.

at the bolded part

Weaknesses

Size is just adequate -- is small-framed and lacks ideal length and bulk. Vulnerable to the jam and reroute. Relatively small catch radius. Has small hands and double-catches some throws. Lacks elite, blazing speed to run by NFL corners and safeties. Will struggle to play "above the rim" at the next level. Was not an impactful punt returner. Limited run strength. Poor blocker.

Shows today

His strengths have become weaknesses in the NFL which proves exactly what I say he plays like he thinks too much.

It's not an insult, but last I read you said he's a smaller Desean Jackson.

And Cooks is better than both of those guys.

Why the frick are you so adamant about this? this is the dumbest shite I've ever seen. Cooks is the least of our problems. shouldn't you be complaining about the defense or something? I mean seriously. I've never seen someone so mad at one player for literally no reason at all

How homer how?

Your only saying that because he plays for the saints, you would be pressed to make up something Cooks is better than them at.

Simple they can make plays after catching the ball, Cooks simply cannot. Y'all go to hells end getting angry at obvious truth.

He is a TY/Desean type and thier is absolutely nothing wrong with that but we need a real #1 like Treadwell.

Looks like you are the one pressed to make things up to make Cooks look bad.

He is a TY/Desean type

So in your world, he's exactly like TY & DeSean, but he's unable to make the same plays as them? How does that work, how can someone be exactly like someone else but not able to do the things that they do?

I love bringing out the homer

You know and I know he can't, nothing to even go into detail about

I think a very fair current comparison would be a slightly better version of Devery Henderson. Both burn past corners and safeties on deep balls, but both aren't great in traffic or making people miss. Devery was a solid #2/#3 guy for us when we had a true #1 in Colston.

So you can't answer a direct question because you are incapable? How does it make me a homer to ask how can Cooks be exactly like someone, if you claim he is unable to do the things they do. Wouldn't that make them better in your world? If they are better, then how can he be exactly like them?

Seems like you are incapable of logical thinking and just love throwing shite out there for shock value.

By the way, seeing as I have yet to state my opinion of Cooks, not sure where you would be able to label me as a homer for asking the questions. Except for the fact that you are trolling and will label everyone a homer for not having an unreasonable disdain for a player on the team.

I have decided that i think Brandincookem is in fact.....

BRANDIN COOKS!!!

Think about it. When girls say "Ugh, i look so fat" they are fishing. They want you to say "No you look great."

This guy has made everyone on this board adamantly support and defend Cooks. Who would be most pleased by this development? One Brandin Gregory Cooks!

disclaimer: Wikipedia did not disclose Brandin Cooks middle name, but I deemed one necessary for dramatic effect. I can neither confirm nor deny that his middle name is Gregory.

Cooks had a 3.3 GPA in high school. So I think it is not Brandon G Cooks

Oh boy, I am no homer when it comes to players.

I'll ask you this, would you trade Cooks for either Hilton or Jackson straight up? If you're answer is yes then you are the one holding a grudge because the guy doesn't play your style.

You've already tried comparing him to AB and Fitz, that is asinine and setting Cooks up for failure. Is Cooks better than them? God no, but those are 2 future hall of famers. Then you go about saying he's a Hilton/Jackson type to try to get more people to hope in your ridiculous wagon.

You're comparing him to people now that are their teams #1 WRs when they play, so I do not understand where you're going with your thoughts. But Cooks is neither Hilton nor Jackson, and he has a work ethic that will consistently make every aspect of his game better.

You can throw a "#1" WR on the other side all you want, Cooks' numbers will still be better than that "#1" receiver. But I wouldn't expect you to say that has anything to do with Cooks, tho.

Doesn't. Brees makes Desean and Ty all Pros no doubt, he is a lesser them until he starts making plays with it in his hands simple as that. Cooks is going down or he's going out of bounds when he catches it, he is a deep threat and that's all. Everyone has work ethic, doesn't mean they'll ever do it he plays soft, he slows his own momentum playing scared and gets himself caught.

John Brown is better than him, they got him in the 3rd with the pick we traded them. He can make plays with the ball, all around stud.

65 catches, 1003 yards, 15.4 ypc, 7 tds

All 3 are better, I would not take Deseans attitude but I'd take Brown and Ty in a heartbeat.
