I sure know a hell of a lot more "saints fans" than I did 8 years ago.

Why not in UL's case? Or are you just going to make another baseless statement and back it up with nothing?

There is only one major college program in Louisiana. That is a fact.

there is more than 1 FBS team in Louisiana which means no matter the disparity in talent they are part of the same league which has the same path to success and end result. it's the same as if Louisiana would have 2 nfl teams even if one was significantly worse than the other. you are using an argument based on what would be saying being a saints fan is disloyal to the voodoo

so tell me what the path for a Sun Belt team is to the BCSCG?

Louisiana does have a handful of mid-major teams in addition to it's one major team, but that's it.

quote: Being disloyal would mean he was a big supporter/fan of the saints then one day jumping ship and going with some other team definition of disloyal quote: failing to support or be true to someone or something : not loyal or faithful to your friends, family, country, etc. isn't conditional on being a supporter prior. failing to support to someone or something. quote: And your definition of loyal just proved my point. No random person in louisiana is a part of the saints institution refer to disloyal definition quote: quote: failing to support or be true to someone or something : not loyal or faithful to your friends, family, country, etc.

Friends, family, and country are in no way similar to a football team.

The "someone or something" in you're definition doesn't have to include a football team. The "someone or something" is what the individual decides to be important to his life. Football is a sport, sports are for entertainment. Each person has the right to choose what he deems important for him and his loyalty

The ect, means football team too? Wow I never knew that. I wonder if it means all other forms of entertainment as well

If you would read the rest of my post the ect. would pertain to the things each person would consider to be important to his life

If the saints aren't one of them, then who the frick cares?

someone encompasses anybody. something compasses anything

you are adding conditions that aren't in the definition. it in no way states or implies it has to be something you choose to deem important

Well you're an idiot if you don't understand what point I'm making. Not gonna argue this anymore

Note to self: Football teams are just as important and friends, family, and country

path to success was a poor choice of words. I meant the end game for any FBS team is to when the national championship. they are in the same league for lack of a better term. so rooting for one FBS Louisiana team over LSU is not being disloyal to the home team they are both Louisiana teams in the same league. i'm having trouble articulating this point for some reason but you get the jist

nowhere did I say anything of the sort. you are ignoring segments of the definition to fit your narrative.

You sure love to look down miserably on people who root for teams outside of the state. Nobody is entitled to root for teams, in this state, especially the pro teams.
