The real question is how much longer Brees will be here.
If we aren't planning on keeping him past 2016, you'd be crazy to let him go somewhere else with no compensation.
I'd trade him next year if he's not in the plans beyond 2016.

I don't think the return would be as high as some think.
I also think there's no fricking way we get rid of him barring some falling out with management or an offer we can't refuse. I think it's more of sending a message to the roster that no one is safe as opposed to actually thinking of trading him.
