Whitlock: Jenkins and Thomas killed the Brees' mojo

3) The Saints killed their mojo this offseason when Malcolm Jenkins and Michael Thomas executed a Black Lives Matter-inspired assassination of Drew Brees’ character.
Brees has never been the most talented NFL QB. His intangibles, particularly his leadership, are what made him great. The guy’s reputation was impeccable.
He was the guy New Orleans and the Saints rallied around. Jenkins and Thomas ruined that when they publicly criticized Brees because Brees had the audacity to defend standing for the national anthem.
Brees is no longer the leader of the Saints, who fell to 1-2 Sunday night. He’s a player on the team. It’s a tragedy what Jenkins and Thomas did to Brees, the NFL’s modern-day Walter Payton.
If the Saints miss the playoffs, blame Jenkins, Thomas and the media race hustlers.

By the way, this is the Fascist, Nazi, Racist, Black hating Jason Whitlock

Ah yes, his mojo.
If that shite hadn’t happened, I definitely think Drew would have 2011 arm strength. I also think Michael Thomas wouldn’t have gotten rolled up on and hurt his ankle if none of that happened.

Drew isn’t blameless he is parading around with a rapist and kidnapper on his helmet. Hell even one of the pouncey boys was man enough to answer for and be mad at being tricked into wearing a name.

Tell me about all the times he did bullshite like that before Jenkins and Thomas bent him over publicly.

If Whitlock is right, and I think he is, this will backfore on MT. Sure, he got his money but he's got a pretty big ego too and nobody spends the week talking about receivers who go for 2 catches and 35 yards every week.

Correct. He became so caught up in his apology tour and bowing down to his BLM masters that he lost his way. The moment he caved is when all respect and honor left his body, and he ceased being a leader.
That was all done as to not lose this team, but the truth is the team was lost the moment Jenkins and Thomas attacked Brees. There was really no coming back from that.

It's amazing that a man who once ran around Florida starting shite with a formerly alive TE who was also a murderer is now being the honorable human being and walking away from this glorification of rapists and murderers. Meanwhile, Brees...

Brees is not having fun this year... too many cancers added to the team...don’t expect much from this season..

The odd thing about last night is that his arm didn't look near as noodley as weeks 1 and 2. That TD pass to ES was a bullet. He just refused to go down field. He'd give it a look, than dump it off the AK, over and over again.
He doesn't trust himself to make the longer throws and that's a big problem.

Brees is the one who kneeled down to this and turned into a little bitch so he's just as guilty.
Bye. frick'em. His legacy got washed out the door this offseason and rightfully so.

Because it’s stupid.
There are valid discussions to be had regarding that situation and the saints play this season. But that requires nuance and actual thinking.
Instead, Whitlock, a dummy, cites Drew’s “mojo” and panders the low hanging fruit to the type of person that swore off the nfl anyway.

Brees looks like a player going through the motions right now. No leadership. No passion. No intensity. Just goes out and tosses 5 yard passes and if they get a first down, then cool. If not, oh well.
He's focused on his future career in broadcasting and it shows.
And you can tell he's in shell shock from this offseason and what went down.

Credit sean payton for letting that happen, he showed Brees where his loyalties lie.

Let's be real...this was all done as to not lose his future broadcasting deal.

Brees was publicly neutered by his teammates, by his brothers. Just look at him on the sideline. At no point in the last 3 games has he not looked squeamish. He looks like a third cousin at a wedding who is just trying to put in his time and GTFO.

I do and I will.
All politics aside, Brees looks like so uncomfortable and no pocket command. Its so weird to see.

Honest question- do you think he looks uncomfortable because of a “scandal” from 4 months ago, or because his WR1 is out, his OL has been shaky, and he isn’t sure about his physical ability.
