Bringing my wife and 6 year old, and we'd rather not be accosted by homeless people. Any good recs that aren't too far for when I have to carry a sleeping kid out of the game?

That's part of the true game day experience though.

Parking lot on poydras across from the dome is your best bet. It's close and easy to hop on interstate regardless of the traffic. I think it's on the corner of Poydras and Clara

I always park in the lot behind Walkons. Easy access to get out after game. Its like 20$ I think.

I park on Earhart as close as I can do the dome. The "Street Rydaz" are very friendly and sometimes I party there after the game

Yep. Absolutely the worst place to park (and probably most expensive).

We park on the streets for free around the LSU Medical Center. Really good if you can park on one of the one ways facing back toward Poydras.

Homeless people in general aren't really bad around the dome and def. not during the day on a Sunday.

I usually park at the Drury inn and suites at the corner of Poydras and Carondelet. It's about 5ish blocks down the street from the Dome. They valet, and parking is about $20-$25.

Why the hell does a six year old still need to be carried?
