Since it seems it is universally agreed on here that we are in serious Decline, with some posters talking about salting the Earth and starting over while others think we can salvage this season team etc, let me ask this what are the boards bad trades, moves, draft pics, cuts etc that go us in this status, (Whatever it may be we are sure as hell 0-3),

First of all thanks to Loomis, CSP, Brees etc for winning a Superbowl and a great run no matter what happens from here. My grandfather and Dad and many diehard Saints fans didn't live long enough to see it happen and I never thought I would see it. So Many many thanks.

And frick you complete POS lying bastard mfer Roger Goodell, who completely fricked us out of at least one if not two seasons and ended our run by being a lying POS. (Per US District Court Judge not me)

To Start"

1)Darrin Sproles trade: The one I hated the most and still do is Darrin Sproles, CSP and Loomis did this without Brees input as he was washed up too old, getting slow etc. He sure has hell does not look like that to me. He was together with Pierre Thomas Drew's safety blanket. Check down receiver we could always count on for 5 yards or more. Who do we have for this now,

Look man, I know these are trying times. But let's work on the punctuation and sentence structure.

It ended in 2012 with bounty gate.'the last hurrah was 2013.'Now it's years of mediocrity untill we get a new coaching staff in here.

The downfall started with the Vicodin Scandal and then Bountygate. Too many off the field distractions/drama causing the focus to get away from good football decisions.

Our offensive line sucks compared to then. We don't create any turnovers, we don't get many sacks or pressure in general on the qb(although Kikaha & Jordan have been doing their jobs), we are average at stopping the run, and Browner sucks so far to go along with 2 injured safeties and our #1 corner. Simply put, our talent is down compared to then & CSP needs to mix up his playcalling like he did against Carolina. But besides that, we're doing great.

The vicodin deal was the first distraction and it snowballed from there. Prior to the Vicodin scandal this team had a squeaky clean image.

Here's how the downfall played out...

*Vicodin Scandal
*Payton moves to Dallas
*Bountygate
*Payton/Loomis Suspended
*Loomis Wire tap
*Payton starts Crossfit/single man
*Ownership shite show

Too many distractions.

You're right, I guess it's just easy to overlook.

2011 was/is the best offense I think I will ever see in B&G.
Thats due to the FO and CSP.
We have gone all in on trying to get one more good run and the decisions have been terrible from cuts, trades, drafts, injuries and free agents.
While disappointed I'm not all pitchforks and torches like many because unlike other orgs the Saints really tried to bring it home one more time. All in balls deep. It didn't pan out.
So we wait. We wait to see how much time Brees has left. We wait to see how many years of mediocrity the FO will put up with CSP. We just wait.
I personally will wait to see how this teams comes together or not under CSP this year and for what seems like Drew's last year in 2016(just my guess). Then perhaps a new beginning.

Damn I was really thinking about player movements but thanks. I didn't realize the Vicodin deal was that big of a thing.

The vicodin scandal was *something* but it didn't really affect the TEAM....the downfall started the day the Bountygate stuff was announced, following relatively close behind the devastating SF playoff loss....I know we made the playoffs one more time since, but I still feel like Payton and the team has never really been quite the same since the enforced year off and the loss of the draft pick etc.
