This has been a problem for 2 years now at least. It cost us the Titans game last year.

Looked like Peat had a guy in each gap and the long snapper took forever to get his head up. He didn't even chip the defender on his right, and Peat got blown up from his right.

Is Peat's responsibility both gaps on that play?

The ball wasn't even close to getting up.

I saw another team kicking in the afternoon who's kicker approaches the ball right after the snap. I guess we can't expect that kind of forward thinking.

Line did not block very well, but the kicker has got to get the ball up higher than that. He did the same thing last week.

The kicker should approached the ball pretty much as soon as it is snapped. By the time you get to the ball the holder should have it down and ready to go.

I was drinking pretty heavily, but I didn't remember the height of the kick being an issue on it.

I'll take another gander this afternoon.

I did not realy get too good of a look at the kick either, but it did look a little bit low to me from the replay.

Last week in the dome he had one that we pretty low, so i kind of just assumed that the same thing happened again

Mike Detillier and Bobby Hebert are saying it was Teron Armstead's guy and when a blocker comes through like that the kicker can't do anything about it

It looked to me like the kick was a little low, but it wouldn't have mattered. He would've had to kick that thing nearly straight up in the air the guy was deep in the backfield.

thought I read it was a missed assignment but something the Giants saw in film and could exploit.

Payton said the Saints weren't good at right guard or right tackle on the blocked FG. Peat was RG, Armstead RT on the play.

That's what I thought when I first saw it, the kicker can't do much when the defender is 4 yards in the backfield.

This. I watched the GIF like 8 times today and I'm pretty sure it woulda been blocked no matter where he kicked it. The blockers failed. Bottom line.

Not possible. So many people here told me that it was definitely a low kick and that was the problem.

Regardless I still think Lutz is our guy. Besides the block kicked and the missed 61 yarder, he looks confident and has a hell of a leg.

And the missed 50 yarder and the blocked kick that somehow went in
