I know McCaffrey will still give us fits, covering out of the backfield has been an achilles heel of this defense for some time. I know we give Cam shite, but he's having another good year, 15/4 with almost 2K passing (QBR not all that great if you subscribe to that). Brick Hands Donte Jackson is a potential DROY with 4 picks so far.

I always feel confident against Carolina, but mobile QB's give me the AJF nervous poots. We play them 2 of our last 3 games, so they could potentially mean a lot in the division and conference race.

The question isn't how do we stack up to them. The question is how do they stack up to us. What is their plan to slow down Kamara, cover CGM and stop Brees from ripping up their secondary......again.

They had 3 chances last year and failed. What have they done to change that possible same outcome?

I'm guessing a split with Carolina. They are a good team.

They're only a game behind us. I think it's crazy that they put our 2 games at the end of the season, but as of right now, it's shaping up to be a killer last part of the season. And good football.

I think they’re better than last year offensively. No defense scares me with our offense, especially when Ginn gets back.

I think we will win by double digits in the Dome but I wouldn’t be surprised if we lost a dog fight against them in Carolina

We have to play 5 more games before we play the Panthers.

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves just yet.

I wish we were in a consistently shitty division like the Patriots so that it was a cake walk compared to the NFC Stacked South.

I actually think they have a pretty good matchup against us for those things. Kuechly is one of the few LBs who can probably stay with kamara, and they have a CB, Bradbury, who punked Mike evans yesterday (like 1 catch on 10 targets in his coverage). We will probably have to gameplan around using those two as decoys and winning with our other weapons imo

a) we're not the ones playing the games

b) it's ok to talk about a matchup that won't happen at all? (saints vs chiefs)

Last year isn't this year. They went from in the superbowl to almost bottom of the league in one year. They're playing good football right now, so there's not much use in looking at the past.

What plays in our favor is Smith will have enough experience under his belt by that point to be a factor the panthers have to gameplan around and take some of the heat off of Thomas.

At least I hope.

Having Ginn back will help as well.

Kuechly was there last year too and Kamara abused him. They tried to guard Mike last year and Ginn abused them. We have Payton and Brees. I'm not worried about what our game plan will be. By the time we play them, records for both teams could be considerably different. Let's revisit this the week before we play Carolina rather than the week we play the Bengals.

Huh? The team that we are a fan of is playing the games. Not sure what you mean by that.

Who’s talking about that?

5 games. A lot of things can change in 5 weeks. Injuries, suspensions, etc.

If you’re asking how do we stack up against the Panthers if we played them today, then I think we roll them.

Who the frick knows what each team will look like in 5 weeks.

I think at worst we spilt CAR. They have needed two miracle wins to be where they are.

They’re 5-0 at home and 1-2 on the road. They should’ve lost to a bottom four team at home. I’m not that impressed.

I think that a split is possible but for a different reason than the Panthers being better than us. I think that the Saints keep rolling and make the week 17 game irrelevant for playoff seeding. The Panthers May need that game to get into the playoffs. I could also see CSP going all out to keep them out of the playoffs.
