New Orleans Saints New Orleans Saints: Taliese Fuaga, OT/G, Oregon State – A- Grade

The Saints needed a left tackle, but Taliese Fuaga is a right tackle. However, the Saints need a right tackle as well with Ryan Ramczyk’s season being doomed with his knee injury. This pick makes sense, and Fuaga could have gone a bit earlier than this, so you have to like the slight value.

New Orleans Saints: via Denver Broncos Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama – A+ Grade

Here’s another second-round steal. Kool-Aid McKinstry drew interest from some teams in the 20s, so it’s amazing that the Saints are getting him at No. 41. McKinstry fills a huge need with the Saints really struggling at cornerback outside of Marshon Lattimore.

Besides being wildly wrong on the saints struggling at CB, which might possibly be the only position of strength on the entire team, I like it.

Adebo played as good as any cb in the league last year. Taylor struggled some because he’s not a slot corner.

if koolaide can start opposite of adebo,

do you think taylor would be better as a FS?

I trust random crybabies on here much more than reputable sites.

Underhill and Duncan seem to think Taylor is better as a boundary corner. We may see Kool Aid in the slot with Taylor and Adebo outside, assuming Lattimore is gone.

Can McKinstry play slot.
If we look at needs for this season, we seem to need a nickel or slot corner.
However, I do believe in the old adage that you can never have enough defensive backs.

New Orleans Saints: Spencer Rattler, QB, South Carolina – A+ Grade Here he is! Spencer Rattler had second-day talent, but he apparently dropped because he appeared cocky and arrogant on some reality TV show he filmed a long time ago. Perhaps he’s grown up since then, and if so, he’ll be a promising successor for Derek Carr. You have to love the upside.

yes... but his speed vs. faster slot guys will be an issue, if he doesn't learn to use his hands effectively
