Doesn't necessarily need to be at 42, could be a trade up or down.

But will they pick an Edge Rusher (DE or Rush OLB) in the 2nd round?

False. I think 42 will be a safety. The two picks in the third should be an OLB and a DE, though.

As long as it's defense it doesn't matter

We won't pick Mixon. I'll ban myself for a month if we pick Mixon

One thing is for sure it won't be the obvious guy they should draft who ever and what ever they draft. They will probably draft someone they could have drafted 3 rounds later

False. LB - Cunningham.

I think he would match up good covering TEs. And hes fast to cover Atlantas scat back offense they run and now Carolina and McCaffrey

I like Cunningham but I don't think I would feel comfortable with him covering McCaffrey

Why? Thats Cunninghams strength. Its the shedding blockers thats his weakness. Throws to the flat would be covered and covered well

Cunningham

i'm admittedly behind on this guy because i haven't had much time to look at a lot of these guys. I know he's good against the run, but can he rush?

I dont know who we target. Payton said they still have first rd grades on players. Falcons took Tak and I believe that was our target at 32. So edge rusher might not be a Day 2 pick. It could be S, CB, LB, QB, RB, WR,. Who knows?

Im prepared for a real head scratcher today.

He's our starting WLB for the next 10 years. He can do it all. He just needs to get better at getting off blocks and add some weight.

His coverage skills are fantastic

Draft Profile NFL.com

quote:

Overview Alabama may have overlooked Cunningham in the recruiting process due to his lean frame (he had 194 tackles, 41 for loss, 12 sacks as the state's 5A Lineman of the Year in 2012), but NFL scouts won't. He started the final five games of the year for the Commodores as a redshirt freshman (67 tackles, 6.5 TFL, 1.5), and then starting the final nine in 2015, eventually leading the team in tackles for loss (16.5) and forced fumbles (four) in a first-team All-SEC effort. Cunningham led Vandy with 125 tackles in another first-team all-conference season, with 16.5 tackles for loss. He also garnered first-team Associated Press All-American honors as a junior, proving his explosion on the national college football scene.

Analysis

Strengths Play-making machine. Plays on a downhill tilt and is always looking to draw first blood. Fast to see it, process and respond. Creates tackles for losses by shooting gaps at appropriate angles. Has a good feel for blockers and uses varied speeds and subtle upper body turns to avoid blockers on second level. Quick in his lateral scrape and races ahead of blockers. Keeps play-side shoulder uncovered when flowing to the ball. Football magnet with outstanding tackle production and ability to create and recover turnovers. Rangy long strider with instincts and play speed to carry him from sideline to sideline in search of the ball. Has extended tackle radius. Durable and reliable. Has the athleticism and awareness to handle man coverage responsibilities against running backs and tight ends. Quick to trigger on throws from zone and limit yards after catch.

I mean just reading his profile has me excited to get him.

False, NO clearly wants a LB as evidence by the fact they were wanting Foster at 32
