Say we make a trade move back and collect another second or third rounder. Would you guys be opposed to this?

Depends on who is available, but no. I'd be fine with it.

Hell no. If you can somehow manage to procure another first-round pick from 24-32 then you even further improve your chances of remodeling the defense.

I think Dupree and McKinney will both still be available in the late first round. They could probably have their choice of one or both (I honestly think we really need to upgrade thoroughly at linebacker).

Then you can use the hypothetical third selection as a value pick. Take the best available option among the remaining interior offensive lineman and defensive backs.

If we can trade back to say 20 and pick up another 2nd rounder I'd be all for it. That'd give us 4 picks in the top 64.

Can't give a true answer without the board. If one of the elite pass rushers/o-linemen are there then i'd rather stay put.

Yeah this, if one of those highly coveted players, Mariota or Cooper looks like they might make it to 13 we could get a frick load of picks to trade back

Right, I don't remember who it was now, but how would you have liked to have been the team that got what Atlanta gave up to grab Jones?

I don't see the saints trading back. If history proves anything, we move up.

Yeah I was thinkin maybe we use 13 & 31 to jump into the Fowler/Shelton sweepstakes. Don't think i could complain about that. Both players have the "sure thing" feel to them.

I said this yesterday and Lester had a good counter point... Normally you don't trade for a low first round pick so you can move up in the draft. Not saying they won't but there are easier ways to move up in the draft that don't include giving up a guaranteed producer in an effort to move up and get someone who MAY produce in the future.

If the elite pass rushers are gone I would be more than okay with moving back 5-10 slots and taking an OL. Then use 31 and the 2nd rounders on a big WR and 2 front 7 guys.

Actually I'd be more than okay with that, it almost sounds ideal.

We didn't trade for picks. We traded for a sure fire starting center and a 1st.

So we filled one of out biggest needs in the trade as well as receiving the 31st pick.

I'd be cool with going the Patriots route this year. Say we trade with Philly. Give up #13 for #20 and #52

#20- La'el Collins (LSU)
#31- Eli Harold (UVA)
#44- Bernardrick McKinney (MSU)
#52- Devin Funchess (Mich)
