Trade Brees and rebuild

It's time. He's gonna get killed this year because of that line, then he's useless injured. Trade him know while you can get tons of value. This team is going nowhere with him anyway.

That's ignorant. Many teams would trade an entire draft for a franchise guy who still has a few years left. We could get a ton of value...but then again, the idiots in the front office can't be trusted to draft/trade. The future starts now.

A greedy frick? A GREEDY frick? Are you looking around the league and seeing what mediocre QBs are being paid and you call him a greedy frick when he's the entire team? This organization's complete incompetence on drafting and horrible FA signings is Brees fault for getting his market value being the best player on the team and top 5 QB in the league?
We will be horrible this year. Brees will have his worst season due to his line. Loomis will do his thing and use it as an excuse not to sign him Loomising. We'll get nothing for him since he'll sign somewhere else and then win a SB in somewhere like Denver.

I'm not against trading Brees but not because I think he sucks or anything like that I just feel like he's being wasted here. We're in rebuild phase right now so you should get what value you can for a player like that to help in that rebuild phase. It will be years before this team is relevant again. We'll be last in our division this year.
I'll bet a team like Denver would be willing to hand a lot away for Brees because they know with someone like him at QB with that defense they'd have a dynasty until his retirement. I'm pretty sure they have the cap for it too.

He is in the final year of his contract and is basically un-franchiseable. A one year rental is NOT going to bring in a ton of value.
Plus the regular season starts in three weeks. That's a decent enough time for most players to come in and get acclimated with a new system, but not a QB.

Trade him to Denver get back a monster Oline/Pass Rush haul, cut Strief and other older players and just rebuild.
