Both games against the Panthers ended on us trying to throw on Josh Norman. He is arguably the best cornerback in the league. Why do we keep doing this?

Because Cooks had a step on him and was a head turn away from scoring on him.

Cooks had him beat both times
1st game, ball should have been in the back of the endzkne

2nd game, Cooks couldn't find the ball, but could have also been a TD

In 20/20 if Brees pumps Cooks way Coleman was WIDE open on the other side for the score. very close.

Also, that was a higher percentage throw than a Hail Mary would have been.

What?

It was a higher percentage throw and a good one. It should have been a TD

Thats allowed for undefeated teams vs the Saints

Speaking of bad calls...again and again why was carolina not flagged for end zone skit row boat thing celebration? Two guys came over and paddled I think?
We throw the ball in to wall and get called

If Cooks turns the other way that is a TD. When Brees threw it I thought it was a TD but it looked like Cooks kind of lost it in the air.

Had both of those balls been thrown better we would have scored on each, but one thing I wonder is that if both McCown & Brees had to try to "aim" it too much for Cooks since he is only 5'10" against 6'0" Norman coupled with the fact that we have yet to see Cooks go up and outjump the coverage.....Cooks is and will be very good, but his height and inability to be more physical and play bigger than his actual size is what will prevent him from being great

They're not gonna call DPI the last play of the game.

Except for that one time they called OPI on Graham the last play of the game.

He didn't turn his head until he was inside of the 20. I don't think he was expecting to get the ball there.

If Cooks looks over his right shoulder, we win last night. The decision to throw at him was not an issue.

The throw has to be too perfect to beat Norman deep, bad calls.
