JG played the way we have been hoping someone on the D-line would.

I have no idea where our DT's have gone. Nothing coming from the inside at all.

Can Byrd play a little more deep next game? Are we just guessing wrong as to when the other team will go deep?
I hope its just a learning curve for he and Rob as he didn't play much in preseason.

Good game from Lofton and White. Harrelson seemed to get a lot of snaps (would like to see his PFF stats) Tackling has been much better.

Quality of opponent or not the D is slowly showing improvment.

Now the offence...

A couple things I noticed from the game, and being there watching it live:

PRob maybe saw 5 defensive plays, it really wasn't much...What I did like was he was on the sidelines and helping the defense get the calls and right players in helping give the D the hand signals and stuff...glad he wasn't sitting sulking

White had a very good....Seemed to be in position most every play, he had a good game and definitely deserves to start

Humber was all over the field, he definitely like White has earned the right to stay on the field as a starter over Hawthorne

Our defense is fine, we only gave up 9 point this game. 9 frigging Point.
If you think our defense is fine, you did not watch the game. We gave up 9 points, but I am not sure that offense could score much more if we left and went to the locker room. That is a terrible team we played, so we should not feel like we shut down a power house. There were many defensive miscommunications and breakdowns.

Agree with this. Our secondary still looks very soft. After cassel went out, basically the only way we got the vikes off the field is if they made a mistake, ie dropped pass or poor throw.

Numerous plays where targets were left wide open, but luckily we played a terrible team with a rookie qb seeing his first action.
