Well, we lost but let's be positive. No one thought we were going to win this game. We were going against a young and very talented team that we handled pretty easily until a few injuries late in the 4th. We have a young kicker who came inches away from kicking a 61 yard field goal! When was the last time, we had someone that could kick that far? And no do not say Hartley..his max was not even 51 yards. The defense seemed to do well with everyone healthy on the field.

Therefore, I say we stay positive as it could be a good season especially with all other division teams but Bucs 0-1.

while the loss is heart breaking, these next 2 games are way more crucial. "must wins" dare i think...

I like your optimism, you and I have the same mind-set. However... unless we can fix the problems on defense (inconsistent pass rush, injury-riddled secondary), the Saints defense will get shredded like lettuce against pass happy teams, one of which we're playing next week, the Giants. The offense looks great, but they can't win every game for us without the defense's help. That's why the Saints have been mediocre the last 3 of 4 seasons. No balance.

Hartley was 6-8 over 50 w/ a long of 55.

Anyone think we could have thrown an immediate out to WR to run out of bounds for 4 yards with 5 seconds left? Not gaining a few more yards killed that fg.

Brees tried an out to Snead but it was covered and overthrown.
