The biggest problems I have with the superdome:
1. I wish the concessions were a little cheaper
2. The bread on their shrimp po’boys isn’t very good
3. The stairwells for accessing the nosebleeds feel really unsafe

are you even a Saints fan? I'm not bashing, I'm legit serious. you never post anything positive Saints related, it is always negative.

I get people complaining cause they expect better, but for gods sake man - you just never have anything positive to say

Yes, I’m a Saints fan. Why would me pointing out that the Superdome stinks mean that I’m not a fan?

I want my Saints to have a better stadium.

There are some great hidden smoking spots located behind some of the concession stands.
It's like hiding and smoking behind under the bleachers

I think you mean to say the city around the superdome is extremely trashy

You're there to watch the Saints, not view the Mona Lisa.

It's an iconic stadium with an amazing history of sporting events. In a city full of historic structures, tearing down and building new is out of line. Renovating is much cheaper.

I love the dome. Rich in history, and in the process of major upgrades. All the ramps are being torn out to open up the interior this year.

Only gripe is after several renovations since 2006, why in the world have they not replaced the terrace and loge end zone seats?

If you don’t like it, don’t go.

Pretty simple.

People will glamorize because of recent upgrades but it is still a bottom tier stadium in a great location

It really isn't that great of a location. Yeah its close to the Qtr, the casino and the convention center which makes good for Super Bowl's but that is it. It would be much better if it was built on the river.

I'm sure that would look nice but flooding and hurricanes will wipe that idea away.

I'm still wrapping my head around that the old Astrodome would fit inside the Superdome all these years later.

Can agree, Raymond James is in the middle of a suburban area. Makes it feel like I am walking through a college town to get to the game.

You are absolutely right. Thanks for reminding me all the times the levee was topped and the Qtr flooded, convention center and river walk and casino flooded Oh wait that has never happened. But I have seen the streets around the dome in feet of water while the other areas were bone dry.

A River front stadium would maybe be aesthetically more pleasant but logistically not be much different

Now image it being in Chalmette or NO East or Slidell. That’s how most stadiums are situated.

It’s not just nice for Super Bowls. It’s nice for any event they hold there

The problem is just the lack of any natural light, which makes everything more enjoyable. The new Rams stadium is insane with how much light it brings in. It's far too much of an undertaking, but if there was something they could do to open up the roof the rest of the stadium would be fine as is.
