every year, as sure as im typing this, LSU fans overtake the saints board and start beating the table for the home team players...which they should. But quite a few are World Class Football Talent Evaluators in their spare time and in addition, giant assholes...melting and trashing the black on gold for not taking X player based on their "evaluation".

personally, i think its York this year...and expect a whole lot of "did you see that Florida kick???....Loomis is an idiot if he doesnt take hime in the 5th" which only will get louder as the rounds slip by and will continue through the offseason and really get loud the first kick that Lutz misses.

but who you got?

stingley - not trading up
clark - 5th round on
farrel - 4th round,
ingram - 4th round
york - 5th round on

Not really a problem this year for me

Stingley really soured me with his last two years so I have no desire to trade up for him. And there’s no late 1st/early 2nd guys this year we have a chance for so by 4th-5th I’m fine picking BPA anyway

It is good for young people to get tf away from their comfort zone.

I would not draft from the local university either.

Nice melt about melting.

Also, trashes everyone’s opinion, post his own as the only World Class Evaluator. There can only be one highlander!

Does that apply to Farrell who is from Bama or Ingram & York who are from TX?

To answer OP's question, I think Clark will be the big melt this year. You'll get the he has 1st round talent, why not spend a 5,6,7 (depending on where he lands) on him and take a shot by red shirting him this year

Would take Ingram or Clark if the time is right. I can see though how you wouldn’t want LSU players on the Saints roster. Almost no LSU players turn out to be with a shite in the NFL. And just a reminder, you are on a fricking site called Tigerdroppings.

Anyone who thinks we need a kicker is fricking lost

What it will really be is: in 3 years Stingley will be a top 12-15 CB and we will have a CB give up a long TD and those rantards will be here saying the Saints should have drafted him, despite the fact that he went 10 picks before we had a pick. They do this shite all the time with guys we never even had a shot at

Agreed. It’s happened in the past because typically good players at a position of need are available at the pick.

This year, besides Stingley who the saints don’t “need” and will be long gone, is the only Tiger in the discussion.

If anyone is meeting about a 4th/5th rd pick, some perspective is badly needed.

Why would you limit yourself like that? The saints haven't drafted any LSU talent early in a while, but I think that is primarily because of need and fit. Just my opinion for what it is worth.

I’m not a homer as it pertains to LSU draft picks, but this take is legit retarded.
