Does anyone have insight into how the supplmental draft process works? Can he withdraw from this draft and then go through waivers (or however that would work)?
Posted on 4/30/15 at 10:37 am to LSUtoOmaha
i've heard that its too late to withdraw.

This has to drastically change the Saints' first round at least. There is one less player, apparently, that they feel comfortable taking at a glaring need.
I was certain they'd pick one of Collins or Scherff with #13. Who knows now.

Exactly.
If teams aren't going to pick him early, they aren't going to pick him late either, because he ISN'T EVEN ON THEIR BOARD.
They will pick him up in UDFA where they can easily drop him if this all goes south. He can also choose his destination at that point.

well TBH the fact that he hasnt met with the police is concerning. Also he prob would have been cleared if he had a credible alibi...which i assume he doesnt have since he hasnt been cleared

This would work to his advantage if he isn't going 1st 4 rounds. I'm not sure the money difference if he goes undrafted, but he can choose his team.

what's concerning is the collins camp took it upon themselves to do their own PI work to validate his "credible alibi" which very well may be, but why not let the police validate that themselves immediately.

Would be interesting if he goes undrafted. Then DOES GET CLEARED... then a possible bidding war for his services i would assume can happen.

Will Collins ever be "cleared" of anything considering he is not accused of anything?
He hasn't met with police likely because the police have a schedule they follow for the interviewing process. Of course he is wanted for questioning if he dated the girl.

Mills was shot and killed at her home on Ship Drive Friday night. Police said a man came to her door and knocked, asking to use her car. When she refused, police said the man shot her multiple times and fled.
how do they know this? was she still conscious when driven to the hospital? if so why didnt she tell them it was La'El?

This was my original point. It would create something completely new to the league. He could command and very well get more money than Winston gets as the 1st overall pick. He is a FA, so he can freely negotiate.
If this is what happens, a major precedent will be set. It can screw up the draft in the future

A reliable source told me the Saints would take him at 31.I just texted to verify that is still true.

If the Saints can find out from a good source from inside the Baton Rouge police dept the facts as they are then with the 230th pick i would consider it.As it stands from what i read i would not draft him.If the Saints can not get the facts i do not see any other team doing so.

poster comes in here and throws meaningless shite on the wall and completes it with "Driveman Out". He's saying you will be the new insider God.
Driveman bats like .188 so going 1 for 2 will put you in driver seat.
