Heard it back in late 70's. Patterson High School was playing my school. Dalton Hilliard was a sophomore.

Problem is that no matter who created it the saints copyrighted it 3 years ago. It stinks and is underhanded but they do have the copyright on it.

Somebody posted an article showing the origins of who dat on here a few years back. According to that article Who Dat is older than my grandpa.

1892 EE Rice's "Summer Nights" "Who dat is a chicken in this crowd" or something.

That article said something about WW2 fighter pilots saying who dat to each other while they were flying to their mission. I wish I had that article.

Question: Who Can Make a Copyright Claim?
Answer: Copyright protection exists from the moment the work (painting, song etc) is created in fixed form. The copyright belongs to the person who created the work. Only the author or somebody who is given the rights to the work by the author can rightfully make a copyright claim.
Fixed form: Published in newspaper.
Author: Patterson High Lumberjacks.
Did the Saints ask permission from the author for the rights to the work?
