Spread it out, no huddle, track meet.

The Saints refuse to accept who they are. Cut the crap and be honest with who you are and what you do well. What you do well is score points and move the ball when you are up tempo, spread out, and allowing Drew to exploit mismatches. Stop trying to establish the run game or pretend that your defense can get off the field on third down. Get aggressive and put as much pressure on the other team to keep up as you can. This would create more obvious passing down situations and opportunities to create turnovers on defense. Stop trying be something you’re not and start playing to your strength.

I agree.
A few years ago, we were in a track meet game with the Texans and they scored the seemingly winning touchdown with under two minutes left.
We went no huddle empty backfield and proceeded to march downfield with precision. Really made one of the best defenses in the league look like ours.
We should do this on every drive.

Payton is too proud to do that...he schemes teams to death.

Exactly. So many College teams utilize this strategy effectively, I don't see a reason why it wouldn't work in the NFL. The league is inching towards flag football anyway so you'd just be getting ahead of the curve.

It does work in the NFL for a team that is pretty good. The New England Patriots.

Saints don't have the offense for that anymore.

What do they have the offense for then?
They've done their best work in hurry up from what I've seen.

In theory that's a great idea but we do not have the personnel to run track.
Ginn cannot catch
Coleman looks like he is running in cement boots
Tommy is just to small
AK is raw...very raw
Thomas is quality
and we all know our RB situation

I totally disagree with the strategy in the OP, but this is a stupid line of thinking... the patriots have the same or even less talent on the outside, and ran track all over the superdome yesterday
