I vividly remember that Colts game. They beat David like a drum all game.

For biggest POS category, I might have to go Junior Galette.

The obvious answer to any Saints fan is Fred Thomas... followed by Ricky Williams

With a team's history that is so ridiculously woeful it's hard to nail down the actual worst skill position player. My memory only goes back to about 1971 or so, but, that being said, I'd have to go in and say these guys, in no particular order:

Larry Burton (OMG...what a waste of a pick)
Ricky Frickin' Ray
Johnny Poe
Russell Erxlaben (though he was a decent enough punter, just drafted wayyyyyy too high)
Bobby Douglass
Brandon Browner
Jason David
Heath Shuler
Danny Weurfful (I don't know if I spelled his last name right)

but, honestly, you could probably just go ahead and list the entire roster from 1975 with the exception of Archie and you'd have a good list.

Can tell you know Jack shite about football. Fred Thomas was actually a very good corner for a few years. Age hit him hard his last two years and he declined fast. Other corners being listed were never good for us. And if Ricky was so bad with us how the hell did we get not one but two first round picks for him?
Marshall Faulk coukdnt even pull one first when traded lol.

Worse corner was David, Browner would at least tackle you for pass interference instead of giving up the td. Davis would just give up the td. Receiver in my lifetime was Wesley Carroll, high 2nd round pick that lasted two years. Total waste.

I’ll just go with recent players from the 2000’s. Jason David, Brandon browner, Jarius Byrd and Jonathan “I’m a big fat lazy sloth” Sullivan. IF we go back a little then how could we leave off the dueling QB Billy Joe’s or Danny Wuerffel? Only the Saints would have not one but 2 QB named Billy Joe on the roster at the same time.

Larry Burton. Early 1st round pick, mid 70s. Track guy who had hands made of stone.

Cam Cleeland. Biggest pussy to ever wear a Fleur-de-Lis on his helmet.

Lindsay Scott and Mario Bates also merit mention.

I thought Mario Bates wasn’t that bad. He was never really good but he was serviceable. He’s kind of like Fred Thomas to me. Fred Thomas always gets heat for being terrible but for a little 5’9” 185 outside corner he was a scrappy player. Not overly talented but he would fight. There’s a reason he played 8 years for us.
