So can a defensive player hold down the snapper...

I believe it was 96 for Denver, who lined up to the right of the snapper, held down the snapper from standing up so that the jumper would not touch him.

No. holding a lineman to give another rusher an advantage is a defensive holding foul

I don't think so.

It will be a clear next year. Offensive player is at a complete disadvantage.

So what you have is...

Defensive holding to keep a player from being penalized for leverage, while the returner steps out of bounds. Yet the play stands because they somehow don't have a camera looking down the sidelines.

Ya sounds about right. The pure white shoes didn't help either.

it was 93. should have been called. It's the same as pulling a blocker out of the way to rush through the line, just this time he was going over the line. Two blown calls is one play to end the game is hard to do.
