Stevie and Shannon both are adamant that the Saints need to cut Jameis and fire Allen today. They say Jameis is a loser, and the players told the coach to his face that they ignored him by running the hand off anyway. And then the players went on national television and admitted to the world that they ignored the coach.
Both hosts said that the Saints players blatantly showed everyone that Dennis Allen has lost the respect of the team. Allen needs to be fired, today.

Best part about this take being spread all over, is even if they wanted to they can't. Winston currently carries a $4.5M cap hit in 2024, if they cut him that number jumps to $10.7M. Loomis already has a ton of work ahead of him to find $72M, not they need to fine an extra $6M because the locker room doesn't respect DA. Would be another case of Loomising biting the team in the arse

The way Loomis acting, in any other organization with a competent owner he would be forced to fire his head coach or be fired. In this organization, he can do whatever he wants despite media and fan pressure. The guy literally was comparing 2006 Brees to this year Carr- its asinine.

This says much more about Arthur Smith and Dennis Allen than it does about the players.
Allen should have flipped Smith at midfield and laughed it off. Instead he gets all up in his feels and acts like a teenage girl who got picked on at recess.

Jameis didn’t do anything wrong. They are fricking grown men paid millions of dollars to either get in the end zone or keep people out. I see zero problem with running up the score on a rival and getting their teammate a touchdown.

Only "bitching" I have seen from Atl was that we lined up in victory formation and ran the play. They would have rather seen us line up in a real formation; but did not take issue with making sure Williams got the TD, or "running up the score". Looks like the only ones that took it personally are Allen & Smith.
