Should we start Garrett Grayson?

If Drew isn't able to play this Sunday, shouldn't we start Young Grayson.
If he's really our future at that position, shouldn't we throw him to the wolfs and see what he's made of. These games don't matter anyways.

When Drew is traded for a third rounder in the off season and CSP gets RG3. Will Grayson or RG3 be under center to start next season?

Grayson should probably play but he will not because some think our 3rd Round draft pick needs to be coddled and protected.

He should start regardless. Let him start a home game. Then Brees can start in Atlanta.

Yes, let Grayson get some valuable snaps when there isn't any pressure to win. Seems like a no brainier.

There's absolutely zero reason Grayson should not be starting on Sunday. It's not often you get a meaningless game(s) for your (hopeful) heir apparent to go up against another teams 1s. There's zero pressure for him in this situation and I'll be disappointed if he doesn't get the start.

YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME!!
I don't understand how you guys don't understand this. As fans, we can want them to lose--I certainly do--but I don't want my $25 million QB and $8 million coach trying to do so. You can't expect ultra competitive professionals--who have been champions--to phone it in. Ever. The games are not meaningless. If they're flipping a coin and kicking it off in weeks 1-17, it fricking means something. Maybe not to us--again, I hope we lose--but to all those players and coaches in that building it does. And it fricking should.

I get that point, but consider this: by starting Grayson the next two games could provide invaluable experience towards the future. Would you rather him cut his teeth in meaningless games or in a season where the playoffs are still a possibility? And if we lose, we not only move up in draft position, but we also ensure an easier schedule next year. This year is a lost cause, let the kid play without consequences and see what we have.

You should start who ever is your #2 QB. If your #2 QB stinks it up or is hurt you should put in your #3 QB.

The primary argument against this is that this kid was clearly not drafted to play year 1. I can promise you, from watching his tape: he is raw (with a lot of potential). I think it could be a step back for him, which is not good considering he could be the future, if he goes out there and gets spanked for two weeks behind a patchwork OL. I'd (personally) like him to get a lot more practice reps before subjecting him to that environment where he can develop bad tendencies-the "growth" stage is the easiest time to gain those.
The modern NFL has people trained to think that all rookies are ready to go day one. This really wasn't the case at all not even two decades ago. Now if a guy isn't immediately ready he is a bust. SMH

Only an idiot would start an unhealthy quarterback with mobility problems, that also has two questionable OT's.

No. Let's save him from becoming a known quantity. Makes zero sense to see how he acclimates to real game action. Why further expose Mickey Loomis' ridiculous draft track record any further. Play Drew. He's the reason for the season.
