Could stop worrying about which of our 3 tackles will move to guard

Similar player to current Grubbs IMO. We need to be young and athletic on the line, not old and below average

His release seems to be celebrated by a lot of Redskins fans, but it's hard to tell if they know what they are talking about, or if they are like the Saints fans that hate Strief.

I know PFF doesn't tell the whole story, but just thought it was worth adding to the post. It wouldn't hurt to add competition, but I would rather see what Lelito has at this point.

Another guy who is available is Justin Blalock. He's played pretty well for the last three years according to pff (and we know how horrible ATL's line has been the past two years).

Me too. Lelito has been with the team for a few years now and he's more familiar with what the team is trying to do. From a continuity stand point, either him or Kelemete will hopefully win that job.

i think maybe another reason that we didn't draft or sign a free agent guard is because they feel like having an All-Pro center inside like Unger should help solidify the middle. Plus they must have seen enough from both Lelito and Kelemete to keep them on here.

I thought Grubbs was a good player for us but I just liked Carl Nicks more. He had more of a mean streak to him it seemed like.

and then when we let Nicks walk, we handed Grubbs a fairly good deal money wise.

so now we have more of a unknown there and 2 guys who are out to prove themselves who won't cost as much. They should be plenty motivated so I'm looking forward to it.

Can we afford him?

Can't imagine him getting too big of a deal, but I'd be surprised if he doesn't end up in Atlanta with Kyle Shanahan.
