Should the Saints trade Brees and begin rebuilding?

You have an awful defense and no stars on the offense. Cooks isn't going to ever be more than a good slot receiver. You have holes everywhere. Even if you have to eat some of his salary the FO should trade him to the Texans or Rams for picks.

Legit question. You guys are potentially put way too much faith in diminishing product. He's already been injured. This team is going nowhere and he's got 1-2 years left max. Trade him while he still has value

The only way we would do that would be if we got back high draft picks and knew there was another "can't miss" prospect coming up. It's not easy to rebuild. Look at Jags, Raiders, texans, Titans, rams, or Browns. Franchise qbs are hard to come by. I hope to God we can pull something like the Colts did and have one terrible season and have an Andrew Luck type talent fall into our lap.

Yes, the Browns scored big with their multiple first rounders and subpar QB play. And the Bills with their subpar QB play have been a big hit. And that Texans D with their young talent on offense has torn the league up.

I'll keep our HOF QB and rebuild. Otherwise we end up like the Jaguars, Browns or Bills who keep drafting QBs every year and lost in mediocrity. At least with Brees we have a chance.

To whom? Even if it was a good idea the economics of the league wouldn't make it feasible. The elite players are virtually untradeable
