Should Matt Flynn be paid the same as Drew?

If they both get the Franchise Tag, they will earn approx $14.4 million for the 2012 season.
That's great for Flynn but sucks for Drew.

I hate the franchise tag. I know most fans like it because they want what's best for the team and not the players but I don't care for it.

because he's worth more than 14 million based on what he's done, especially since he greatly outplayed his last contract

Drew should end up with about $60 million guaranteed over the life of his new, tag-free deal. The tag would be a slap in the face to him. He has earned his money, it is time to pay the man and keep him happy. Use the tag on Nicks for this year, develop a back-up and tell Nicks "Adios" at the end of the year.
