He will still be a threat when on the field. I have a good feeling about him this year.

Marques Colston reminds me of a former Denver Bronco, Rod Smith. Although Rod Smith seemed to be the better receiver overall, both were very consistent throughout their careers. Consistency in the NFL is a very rare thing for players that have limited skill sets (aforementioned players), and I think that should be commended in some way, even if it is by retiring a number.

I do feel like the system Marques Colston played in inflated his numbers, being a pass first offense most of the time. Rod Smith primarily played in the zone blocking scheme offense and on a run first offense.

Best received we've ever had & will own most of if not all franchise records by the end (he already has plenty).

So yes, it should be retired

I don't think so.

I don't like the idea of retiring numbers unless its something really extraordinary. Not just a statistic leader at the position. I definitely say no.

Most career receiving yards (9,239)
Most yards from scrimmage (9,246)

Are these two metrics related? Did Colston just have 15 yards gained on a run, or are they two complete different stats?

I don't think his jersey will be retired, but I do think he'll be added to the Ring of Honor we've started. Drew too, obviously. And probably Deuce as well.
