This is so true. I don't know details of Lee or any other college player (busy year last year allowed me to only watch NFL); however, if this criticism is accurately applied to him, then it is a concern.

My only issue is that we've seen other athletes with these checkered pasts that catch up to them like Desean Jackson or Aarron Hernandez. Not saying Lee is like any of these guys, it just raised a red flag.

It's amazing what forgotten people from the past show up once a guy attains huge money and fame. Lee may have overcome all of that and it would be a non-issue. Still, as an NFL GM and owner who are about to make a large investment in a player, it would give me pause for concern.

How many NFL snaps have you seen this guy play?
Also, could you provide a link, please? Thanks man.

His post is the link you seek. It's called an opinion. Last I checked, you didn't need to site a source to have one

Getting old to call people out on their opinions by asking for links.

No, not really. I could care less what LSU players when they leave. Thanks for the info though.

Worldwide epidemic. I blame Roger. Had the draft been this past weekend, like normal, we wouldn't be talking about any of these bums. Only the guy we drafted.

I agree 100%. There will be better WRs in the second round than this guy, even at 100% health.
He has a lot of dropped balls and played against very week defenses. Factor in a knee issue, I'll pass.

I've seen a lot of different opinions on Lee.

obviously his speed and quickness stand out. seems like a tough kid too, plays through pain.

I've also read where he's been criticized for not handling tight coverage very well on intermediate and deep passing plays. Its not that he doesn't have the speed to beat the coverage so much, its just how reacts to aggressive coverage.

meh...

but you'd think he could do alright in the Saints offense because Brees gets rid of the ball quickly most of the time. That's a staple of a West Coast offense... is it not?

also seen people talking about the dropped passes. Not that it matters... but maybe the reason he's had some problems there is because he's pressing too hard? Maybe he's thinking about what he's going to do after the catch and just lets the ball in too much without just concentrating and going up and making the catch?

He looked like an electrifying player a few years ago and I remember thinking... god it would be badass if he somehow got picked by the Saints.

Never thought it would be a possibility but after being hurt some in 2013 and playing with a different QB after Barkley left, there is a chance he'd be there when we pick.

I really hope we draft Lee. He's the second best WR in the draft behind Watkins

So basically there is only one thing that is certain about this year's draft.... our first round pick is likely going to piss off around half this board if not more

Guess that's improvement from last year when around 75%+ here (myself included) were all in on the Jones train much to our initial dismay

Fair or not, I'll never put stock into any USC player until one of them has an above average career.

You are dumb, you are really really dumb.

Ever heard of Clay Matthews? What about Brian Cushing? Matt and Ryan Kalil, Jordan Cameron, Tyron Smith, Troy Polamalu, Carson Palmer?

Every team has their fair share of busts and booms. LSU, Bama, Florida, etc. have all had busts as well, they're just not media darlings like USC. Does that mean you're not going to draft/ trust players from these schools as well? No. In most cases, individual players are isolated incidents. All of these players have the ability and athleticism or else they wouldn't even be in a position to play high-level D1 ball or get drafted. There are just so many factors that go into whether or not a player will bust, and one of the lowest factors on that list is what school he went to.

Yeah, let's not draft any non-SEC players.

What a stupid damn post. You point out draft picks from the first 3 rounds and say "mostly average". Are you shitting me.

2009, 1st round 3rd overall pick - Tyson Jackson
Still productive; hasn't lived up to pick.
2010, 3rd round 76th overall pick - Chad Jones
Hurt in an accident.
2010, 3rd round 76th overall pick - Brandon LaFell
One of the top receivers in the league.
2011, 1st round 5th overall pick - Patrick Peterson
One of top CBs in the league
2011, 3rd round 68th overall pick - Kelvin Sheppard
Started 24 games the past 2 seasons.
2011, 3rd round 73rd overall pick - Stevan Ridley
Above average running back.
2011, 3rd round 87th overall pick - Drake Nevis
A starter in Jacksonville.
2011, 3rd round 92nd overall pick - Joseph Barksdale
Played in all 16 games for the Rams last year.
2012, 1st round 6th overall pick - Morris Claiborne Been average up to this point.
2012, 1st round 14th overall pick - Michael Brockers
Played in all 16 games for the Rams last year.
2012, 2nd round 63rd overall pick - Rueben Randle
Started all 16 games for the Giants in 2013.
2012, 3rd round 73rd overall pick - Brandon Taylor
Has been dealing with a knee injury for 2 seasons.
2013, 1st round 6th overall pick - Barkevious Mingo
Had 5 sacks in the 12 games he played his rookie season.
2013, 1st round 18th overall pick - Eric Reid
Equaled Vaccaro's production.
2013, 2nd round 45th overall pick - Kevin Minter
Good enough to take Dansby's spot in the line up.
2013, 3rd round 67th overall pick - Bennie Logan
Played in all 16 games and started 8 for the Eagles.
2013, 3rd round 69th overall pick - Tyrann Mathieu
If the draft was redone, he's be the 4th pick overall.
2013, 3rd round 95th overall pick - Sam Montgomery
Got dumped for smoking weed. We'll see what he can do with the Bengals.

Seems to me the 1st rounders have produced better than average. The 3rd rounders have done what 3rd rounders are expected to do, contribute.
Point out another university with significantly better results...genius.

This anti-LSU bullshite is getting to be ridiculous. If you're going to talk shite, come with some facts.
