USA Today

quote:

Payton sees the Saints – and not the widely-favored Tampa Bay Buccaneers – seizing the division title.

“And here’s why: We finished last year at 9-8, with 50-something players that missed games because of injury,” Payton told USA TODAY Sports during a wide-ranging interview. “It’s easy to see two more wins there. That puts you at 11 (wins). And then conversely, it appears Tampa has had some injuries. I think the early schedule favors New Orleans, the way it sets up.

“Atlanta’s in transition. Carolina’s in transition,” Payton added, referring to the other NFC South teams. “No disrespect to those teams but I feel like it’s a two-team race in that division. Will it be close? I’m sure it will be. But the coaching staff is intact (sans Payton) with the same coordinators. There’s a lot of continuity. And that team knows that it can beat Tampa Bay.”

1) why not respond to the post rather than the name thing

2) Yes, he should STFU about the Saints…..he quit…..frick him

3) Anybody that knows anything about football….knows that every season you begin with an entirely new team

His comments sound like a fricking HS coach.

(We had a really good team last year but we didn’t have a TE, so know we have a TE we will win more)
Kindergarten thinking

4) He’s hedging his bets to make sure he looks good (again, frick him)

You see….If the Saints have a very successful season (and I believe we will)
He can take credit for it.

If the Saints don’t have a successful season
The Peighton arse suckers will say

But but but, if the POS was our HC
We would have won the SuperBowl

Again…..frick him

He was also talking about them in the past tense meaning he was still there. Jesus fricking Christ.

Just because you leave a job doesnt mean you cant talk about them ever again. You sound like a scorned girlfriend.

You have a very unhealthy hatred for CSP. It's borderline insanity.

The only time Payton says (we) is when he references last years 9-8 record. Every other reference to the team throughout the article he says (they).
I personally do not agree with the disingenuous way he left the team. I do not hope he succeeds in any way if he comes back and coaches any other team in the NFL but this one. You can question his character when it comes to his infidelity or issues with drugs or whatever you choose. However he left with the blessing of the holder of his contract and as long as the team is fairly compensated then adios motherfricker, the world is your apple.
Who the frick wants somebody that doesn't want to be here?

It’s all because of the Nielsen shite with lsu. I guess he was a big Orgeron fan and was hoping Nielsen would bail Orgeron out. I watched his meltdown that day all over this board. It’s so weird that he’s still continuing on.
