The #Saints are aiming high value-wise for a potential WR Brandin Cooks trade. They've told teams they want a 1st round pick.

Wherever WR Brandin Cooks goes, he'll want a hefty contract extension, among the highest at his position. Complicates trade value.

Yeah, they aren't going to settle low. 2nd round talk is Eagles and Titans trying to lower the value through the media.

As they should. Saints are picking 11th, they hold all the cards here, they don't "need" another pick.

I doubt anyone gives up a first for him.

GM's have lost their damn minds to think Cooks is a 2nd round pick caliber player. 1st round pick or solid, difference making veteran or GTFO.

we'll own cooks' disgruntled arse for 2 years vs taking a flyer on a 2nd round pick. frick that.

then the saints need to just pick 11th and start Cooks next year. No need to get an itchy trigger finger in the trade game. Someone will give up a first though.

Raiders would drop their panties with the quickness giving up a first for cooks. Their GM loves cooks too. Obviously their 1st is lower than Eagles etc.

that would be a nightmarish receiving corps and karma for cooks, because he wouldn't be the focal point there either

I agree. I think Cooks is a good player but he's not gonna be a number one option for many teams and that's what you want if you're giving up a first round pick.

He'll be the first option for any team willing to give up a 1st. The teams with number 1 WRs aren't in this market.

as I think many teams needing a receiver would feel the same way to get one of the top yardage producing speedy receivers in the league

im not sure where the raiders draft position is at but if its out of the top 20 it might take a 1,2 and 3 for a low drafting team to get a deal

If the Saints trade him for anything less then everybody should get fired.

I would think a team like the Eagles would give that up for Cooks.

He seems like the type of player that fits the Eagles very well

wildcard for eagles is they can likely sign desean jackson and keep their 14th pick.
