Stop trading up Loomis! We have traditionally NOT had good results.

Stay pat or trade back. We need depth on O and D.

While yes, we do need a pass rusher.......we can get on without trading up

Didn't the Falcons try to get Bush from us? what if we gave them Bush to move up?
might take a little more because Atl wants a pass rusher so much though

I’m told the New Orleans Saints, another team with two picks in round one, will consider trading up if they feel they are in striking distance of Vic Beasley. Defensive coordinator Rob Ryan loves Beasley’s pass rushing ability and potential in a 3-4.

Eff that. If we are trading up to 5 it better be for Fowler or Williams...or better yet don't trade up more than a few spots if at all.

I was telling a friend last night that I think we trade up. I would hate it, but there is a huge drop off of talent after 10-12 players, and with our past history and excess of picks, I am almost expecting it.

But in response to the Rob Ryan aspect, how much influence does he really have with trading up, or even draft picks at all? The guy is on his last leg, with his replacement already on staff.

Ali Marpett

I'm surprised how many people are in love with this guy despite never seeing him play. I get that he has a great upside, and we have a history of doing well with small school OL in the mid rounds, but he's a different case. We need a Guard who can compete with Lelito this year, and I don't see Marpett doing that.

These fricks better not trade up. They had the #9 draft spot locked up and decided to play starters and feel good about beating 3rd string TB laying on the ground. Stay put or trade back.

Pisses me off every day

People just see a somewhat obscure name on mock drafts and parrot it in order to seem like they have a depth of knowledg for identifying talent.

We absolutely shouldn't have to trade 31 to move up from 13. We could use one of our third rounders and get up to 8/9 probably right in front of Atlanta.

If that's all they use to trade up, I'm fine. I want guys at 13/31/44 regardless. I don't mind using our third rounders or later to better those three picks in some way.

Exactly. I'm just surprised how many mocks I've seen on here with him listed.

If trading up means losing the #31, there's no one in this draft worth two 1st round picks...that includes Winston, Mariota, Fowler or Williams.

McShay has Beasley falling to us in his latest mock, although he prefaces it with he's not as high on Beasley as others, which likely means he ain't gonna be there

I made a thread a long arse time ago about trading up for Amari Cooper.

I'll get ripped for this one, but essentially Amari = Jimmy Graham. Yes I think he's that good.

We would get similar production as Jimmy at a much lower salary + a Pro Bowl center.

We'd have to get to 7. There's no way we do this with a 3rd rounder. We would have to give up at least a 2nd and most likely a little bit more

you shouldn't get ripped. I was just about to edit my previous post and say watch this all be smoke screens and the player we are truly targeting is Cooper. We are in scary territory at WR currently, and it's not like our offense played lights out last season. Our WR play has been weak, so getting a blue chipper like AC would be a huge move. I still don't like the trade up scenario, but I would prefer it be for Cooper more than anyone else

Yes NO trade ups if anything trade down. The Saints have the league lowest total of draft picks the last few years. Its why the team is short of depth.

True Tampa went in the tank 2nd half they must have got the memo from upper levels hey stupid if we let Saints win we have first pick. And the saints still barely won which showed how little depth on roster. No depth because they have NFL lowest' total amount of draft picks. This team is not one player from the Superbowl. All i see online Saints will trade drives me nuts.Let the draft fall to you if anything trade down a few spots an pick up more draft picks.
