5 picks in the first 3 rounds. Could be worse.

Not bad not great. I mean we gained another first round pick and will have 2 3rd round picks. I like Cooks, the trade is about what's expected. There will still be good CBs and DEs even in the the 3rd round. I think we go DE with first pick and CB with 2nd pick. With our gained 3rd round pick we go best defensive player on board or a very high valued RT to sit behind Strief for a year.

So much for that high price tag Payton was talking about.

I don't mind this at all. Saints now have 3 picks in top 44. We can definitely acquire some solid defensive assets.

This board got out of hand with cooks value due to some reports. It's a good draft to have picks in and y'all have some ammo now

That's about how I feel

Honestly not that bad, during the season half of yall complain that Cooks isnt the one that could be WR 1
and didnt have that high of a price on him. If he wanted out he got it and we will just plug someone else in his spot. Not like we got rid of Julio or Megatron.

We're going to have a top 5ish offense regardless. Ginn is a really good, cheap replacement.

With the lack of quality DE's out there and the Saints still having cap space, I would have liked to have taken a chance on Pryor on a one year/$8m type deal as the Redskins did.

If we think Brees still has another 3 good years left in him (I really do), then it's not a big deal. We'll carry the cap space into next season. Of course, that cap space won't make a difference if Brees's play declines significantly or he leaves in FA.

The Saints will probably get some solid offers for #32 if a guy like Mahomes is available and a team like the Browns wants him. That 5th year team option is especially important for rookie QB's since they take a while to develop, and if they pan out that 5th year price is relatively cheap.

The Patriots are going to be insane.

No this is awful. Getting Butler was a must. Teams are just going to pick on whomever Breaux isn't covering. Same shite different year

We moved up 12 spots basically from 4th to 3rd. Wish it was 3rd for 2nd. Seems more fair.

We apparently just had pick #18 on the table. It's not farfetched.

We just settled big time and didn't even get the value back we picked him with. Loomis has lost it.

Someone tell me this #18 on the table isn't true because at this point wouldn't that be collusion or something? I mean how the frick would you take less than offered? To help your buddies? Loomis has to go at this point. You take the 18, or if that wasn't offered you keep Cooks for another year. He's worth more than a #32 and moving up 15 more spots later.

oh my frickin god

the pats 1st and 3rd round picks are just the first picks in the 2nd and 4th rounds so basically we traded cooks for the first pick in the 2nd and 4th round.

how in holy hell is that better then the #18 pick straight up ???????????????????????

trade raped by new England as everyone secretly feared

loomis is a moron, he probably thinks he got a first and third rounder and did better then the #18 from titans lol

It's probably fair trade value, but with our situation I would rather have the proven player in a fair trade over just the potential in a pick. It would have to have been a good value trade for me to be excited.

Would have liked the trade a lot more if they kept their own 4th rounder. Should have just went with the Titans deal. It's basically a 2nd round pick.
