Terrible how this team cannot find a reliable kicker.

I think Payton is to blame for kicking problems.
Dude is in these guys heads and throwing them off

Meanwhile, Hopkins is 10/11 with longs of 54 and 52.

Absolutely ridiculous.
The way this team has handled this position post-SB has been an absolute nightmare. Playing kicker is completely predicated on confidence. You aren't building confidence for a guy if you bring in two guys to work out after one fricking miss. No wonder he looked like shite on Thursday. I would too if I was one mistake from being run out of town. Whoever the hell they pick up this week, he probably already knows his days are numbered with this crazy arse fan base and FO unless he never misses a kick again for the rest of his career.
How is it that this team can throw a kicker to the curb after a couple misses, ROUTINELY, but they can't know when to bench a guy like Browner.
Grinds my damn gears.

weve had kicker problems during all of paytons tenure. I believe we have had the same special teams coach during his whole tenure.

Its certainly possible. Look at Saban and Bama's kickers.

So we signed Kai Forbath.
Who was released by the Redskins in September.
Who signed Dustin Hopkins.
Who we released.
Good times.

Again, I do not trust this staff with talent evaluation at all.

Maybe the issue is not with kickers but with the snap on the place kick? We have already had a few questionable snaps this year.

What? He is to blame for not finding a good one but how is he in their heads?
