Cornerbacks (4-6)

Locks: Delvin Breaux, Keenan Lewis

Good bets: Damian Swann, P.J. Williams

On the fence: Brian Dixon, Tony Carter, Ken Crawley, Brandon Dixon, Jimmy Pruitt, De'Vante Harris

There's a scenario here where the Saints end up with a really good batch of cornerbacks.

Assuming Keenan Lewis and Delvin Breaux remain healthy and perform up to expectations, New Orleans will have a very solid duo at cornerback.

Lewis is working his way back from a series of injuries, but the team has expressed confidence in his ability to return to form both publicly and privately.

Breaux, of course, emerged from the CFL and quickly became one of the better cornerbacks the team has had in recent years. If he continues on his trajectory and continues to improve, he has the potential to be one of the better corners in the league.

Coming behind the top two are 2015 draft picks Damian Swann and P.J. Williams. Swann missed the end of last season after suffering a series of concussion and Williams spent the season on injured reserve. If Swann bounces back, and Williams is as good as advertised, the top of the depth chart could be very strong.

New Orleans also has a collection of players deeper down the depth chart who will compete for a roster spot. Brian Dixon has the early edge due to his ability as a gunner, but some of the other players have to potential to make it an interesting battle.

Breaux with a year of experience under his belt will be huge, IMO. If Lewis comes back 100%, we'll be in great shape. The one I'm really excited to see is P.J. Williams.

I'm hoping for Lewis, Breaux, PJ Williams, Swann, & DeVante Harris

This looks promising.

As you view the draft needs for next year... CB can be drafted in later rounds.
